The Trek® 157 combines patented precision charge measurement capability with features that drive down ionizer maintenance and performance testing costs. Enhanced features, such as those that enable the operator to store and retrieve data as data points or graphs and record operator comments for reference, make the Trek® 157 ideal for use in dissipative testing of materials and monitoring of static charge.
The MonroeTM 282 series StatArcTM fieldmeters are pocket-sized, non-contacting static meters for consistently accurate readings. Simply hold the instrument so the range finder LED beams from a non-pulsing circle indicating you’re at exactly the right distance from the target for readings between 20 kV to 2000 V (model dependent).
Model 287 performs manual or automatic decay and balance tests for periodic verification of ionization equipment. It then stores the results and averaged decay times for up to ten manual tests and up to ten complete automatic test sequences.
All functions are controlled by four pushbuttons.
The Trek® 347 non-contacting electrostatic voltmeter provides precise surface voltage measurements in the range of ±3 kVDC or peak AC.
The Trek 347 utilizes a field-nulling technique for non-contacting voltage measurement that achieves DC stability and high accuracy, with no need for fixed probe-to-surface spacing. This permits the accurate measuring of stationary or moving surfaces.
Non-Contacting, Hand-Held Electrostatic Voltmeters
The Trek® 876 and 884 electrostatic voltmeters offer a distinct advantage over other handheld fieldmeters. They can provide accurate surface voltage measurements that are independent of sensor-probe-to-measured-surface spacing. They can be used for a variety of applications from manufacturing to semiconductor material testing.
The Trek® 152-1 surface/volume resistance meter is designed to precisely measure surface or volume resistance on a wide variety of conductive, dissipative, and insulative materials. It features exceptional measurement accuracy and wide measurement ranges. When used with Advanced Energy’s uniquely-designed 152P-CR-1 concentric ring probe, the instrument provides consistent ease of operation even at very high resistance values.
The Trek® 156A tests the efficiency of an ionizer’s ion production by timing how long it takes air ions produced to discharge a floating plate that has been pre-charged to either a positive or negative value. The Trek® 156A also tests the balance between positive and negative air ions by measuring the offset voltage generated on a floating plate due to an imbalance of positive and negative ions.
The Trek® 520 (±2 kV) and Trek 523 (±20kV) hand held electrostatic voltmeters that utilize a measurement technique that overcomes the disadvantage of the typical hand held field meter by providing surface voltage measurements which are essentially independent of the sensor probe-to-measured surface spacing. The Trek 520 is available in two versions.
The Statiron DP Charge Plate Monitor (CPM) is a handheld static electricity measuring instrument designed to check the static decay times and system balance monitoring for all ionizing equipment in your facility.
The Statiron DZ4 Digital Handheld Static Field Meter provides a reliable, accurate, easy-to-use way to measure static charges up to +/- 20kV (kilovolts). Effectively verifying the presence or absence of static charges on materials and in your processes is essential to developing a ‘good plan’ to control static and the myriad issues it can cause. Easy to use, just point from 1” away and read the digital display.
Certified for use in hazardous areas, the EX-715 Static Meter has been developed to investigate industrial static electricity problems.
The EX-715 measures static electricity levels from 10 V up to 200,000 V on the surface of a material or body at 100 mm distance. With a ‘hold’ facility to freeze the reading on the display, the Meter has two automatically selected ranges:
- 0 – 20 kV in 10 V increments
- 20 – 200 kV in 100 V increments
The Static H-0110 Honestmeter is an instrument designed to measure the attenuation of static electricity. It is an ideal device for measuring the diffusibility of static in materials. This unit is used to charge the sample by irritating it with air ions generated by corona discharge, and after charge deposition, it can measure the static decay curve. Since air ions are generated by the corona discharge method with AC, the sample under test can be charged with either positive or negative ions.
