SBCB3 / SBCB5 StaticBond Static Generation Bars for Industrial Applications

Product Overview

SKU:SBCB

Features

The SBCB3 and SBCB5 StaticBond Charging Bars offer a reliable solution for applying static charge to facilitate temporary adhesion in industrial settings. These bars use tungsten emitters, which have a longer life span compared to non-tungsten emitters, with up to four times the durability. The emitters are spaced at 10mm (0.4″) pitch to ensure even distribution of static charge without striping effects. They are also resistively coupled to the high-voltage source, ensuring non-sparking performance, with individual high-voltage resistances for each emitter.

The bars are compact and robust, with lengths ranging from 60mm (2.36″) to 4000mm (157.5″). Installation is straightforward, thanks to plastic mountings that slide into the “T” slot at the base of the bar. They also feature a flexible cable encased in protective nylon conduit for added durability.

Performance

The SBCB3 and SBCB5 StaticBond Charging Bars deliver consistent performance in various manufacturing applications, including converting, printing, in-mold labeling, roll changeover on winders, laminating, and card stacking, among others. With their resistively coupled emitters, they offer safe operation while providing strong adhesion for high-performance machinery. The bars operate effectively even in high-temperature environments, with a maximum temperature of 60°C (140°F) and humidity levels of up to 70% rH (non-condensing).

The flexibility of the emitter pitch and optional 5mm (0.20″) spacing provide versatility for different industrial requirements. Additionally, the 2m (78″) high-voltage cable, rated at 60kV, ensures that the bars can be connected to various power sources, such as the SB-30A or similar 30kV charging power supply.

Value for Money

The SBCB3 and SBCB5 StaticBond Charging Bars offer excellent value for money, providing a durable and reliable solution for temporary adhesion in industrial applications. The tungsten emitters’ long life expectancy, coupled with the robust construction and flexible installation options, contribute to a cost-effective solution. The multiple levels of safety circuitry and protection against overload, short-circuit, sparking, and mis-wiring ensure a high degree of reliability and safety, further enhancing the value proposition. These bars are ideal for industries seeking a dependable method of applying static charge for various manufacturing processes.
