How It Works
The Medical Cleaning System with Automated Shuttle contains a speed-adjustable pneumatic or servo-electric slide (with stainless steel nest), custom fit to your packaging-trays. The operator simply places a tray loaded with the product into the nest. Then the System moves the “nest” at a controlled speed through the cleaning zone. As the product progresses through the cleaning zone, static bars and stainless steel air tubes provide compressed, ionized air. The compressed, ionized air neutralizes the static charges on the trays and parts, stripping particulates off surfaces, nooks & crannies.
In addition, any airborne particles in the cleaning zone are captured via the Medical Cleaning System vacuum dust collector. The contaminants are drawn into the vacuum slot of the stainless steel hoods. The particles are captured in the dust collector’s internal filtration, gently delivering clean air back into the cleanroom through the HEPA filtered exhaust.
The Medical Cleaning System with Automated Shuttle contains safety features which include an E-stop that activates if an obstruction is encountered. An obstruction is determined when more than 3 – 5 pounds of force is exerted along the shuttle path. The System is easily reset with the push of a button once the obstruction is cleared. The power to the static bars and the compressed air to the air tubes at the cleaning hoods are all controlled by the System’s PLC. However, this only turns on during a cleaning cycle which significantly reduces energy costs.
The System has an anodized aluminum frame providing a sturdy foundation. And the frame supports the dust collector and all components in a sleek, clean package. Additionally, locking swivel casters, a quick-connect compressed air fitting and a standard 120V plug make moving the Medical Cleaning System with Automated Shuttle (MCS-AS) easy throughout your facility.
